Dr. Karas earned his B.S. in Biology from the University of Detroit and his doctorate in dentistry from The University of Detroit School of Dentistry where he was awarded the Dean’s Key. While teaching part-time in behavioral science for 23 years at The University of Detroit-Mercy School of Dentistry, Dr. Karas developed a keen interest in the relationship of psychological stress to performance, happiness, and health. Dr. Karas is a co-holder of two patents designed to mitigate stress and improve performance, happiness and health. Dr. Karas enjoys sharing his knowledge with his patients and through community presentations. Dr Karas started his private practice of Dentistry in St Clair Shores, Michigan in 1980 and continues to practice today, now as a team member with Dr. DiPilla.
