Dr. Munden has transitioned out of general dentistry to focus exclusively on conditions affecting the temporomandibular joint, commonly known as TMJ or TMJD. TMJ disorders are complex and often misunderstood, earning the nickname “the Great Imposter” due to their wide range of symptoms that can be mistaken for other conditions. To address these varied symptoms, Dr. Munden will be offering a range of treatment options tailored to individual needs. These treatments can include the use of medications such as Botox, the crafting of custom dental splints or orthotics, dry needling and TENS therapy. Dr. Munden is thrilled to continue providing TMJ treatment at Atrium Dental Center and looks forward to helping improve the quality of life for many more of our patients.
