Aaron P. Sarathy is a Charleston native who attended Bishop England High School and is a graduate of the University of South Carolina. He received his degree from the Medical University of South Carolina. Following graduation, he entered the US Navy on active duty and is currently in the Army National Guard.
Dr. Sarathy completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at the National Naval Medical Center, Bethesda, MD/Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Washington, DC and at Naval Hospital in Bethesda. Following, he was appointed to the Department of Head and Neck Surgery, Division of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Naval Hospital in Beaufort, SC.
He specialises in all aspects of oral and maxillofacial surgery including dental implants, soft-tissue augmentation and bone grafting of the jaws, and dentoalveolar surgery, including third molar extractions. He has specialised training in facial cosmetic surgery such as eye and brow surgery, face and neck lifting, ear-pinning, facial implants and more. He also has extensive expertise in orthognathic jaw surgery, as well as the treatment of facial trauma, management of pathologies of the jaws, and the surgical treatment of OSA.
Dr. Sarathy is board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (ABOMS) and is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS), the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery (AACS), the Southeastern Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (SSOMS), the South Carolina Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American Society of Dental Anesthesiology (ASDA), the American Dental Association (ADA) and the Carolina Cleft and Palate Team.
