While studying at LECOM, Dr. Gatis was selected to serve as an academic and clinical tutor. He also served as vice president of the Forensic Odontology Group. He received training and certification in using dental records to assist local and national law enforcement with cases of missing and unidentified persons. Dr. Gatis was awarded the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons Dental Student Award for Excellence. He enjoys taking continuing education courses in cosmetic dentistry, dental implantology, and minimally invasive restorative techniques. In addition to practicing in the office, Dr. Gatis has been the sole dentist at the Collier County Jail since February 2020. Dr. Gatis prides himself on maintaining healthy smiles and restoring teeth with a conservative approach. In his free time, Dr. Gatis is an avid saltwater angler and enjoys spending sunny days on the boat with his wife, Erika, and their two amazing daughters, Mila and Falon.
