After hours, Dr. Santorsola enjoys skiing (both snow and water), biking, hiking, or kayaking. He loves the outdoors, which is reflected in his office decor. Dr. Santorsola earned his undergraduate degree in Chemistry from Gonzaga University and graduated with his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Washington in 1981. He has lectured extensively throughout the United States and Canada, emphasizing the importance of comprehensive treatment planning and developing coordination and communication techniques among professional offices, such as those of the periodontist (gum specialist), orthodontist (braces specialist), and oral surgeon. He is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Washington State Dental Association, the Great Blue Heron Study Club, the Seattle Study Club, and the Fellow & Diplomate of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI). Dr. Santorsola has formerly held positions as Restorative Advisor to the Seattle Study Club and a Lecturer/Consultant for Dentsply, Paragon, Sulzer, Centerpulse, and Zimmer dental implant companies. He was also a Clinical Consultant for the Microprobe Corporation, Dental Director for the Community Health Services of Snohomish County, and a member of the advisory committee for Shoreline Community College's Dental Hygiene Program. Dr. Santorsola was also voted "Seattle's Top Dentist" by his peers every year from 2009 to the present for Seattle Metropolitan Magazine.
