Growing up I had many things that I was interested in ranging from becoming a fighter pilot to pursuing something in the medical/dental field. I have great examples in my family of those who have been in the dental field and as I grew older I became more serious about pursuing a profession in medicine/dentistry. I experienced, first-hand, what it’s like to have orthognathic surgery. It was then I realized Oral Surgery may be my path. As my skills developed, both academically and hands-on, I grew to love Oral Surgery as a unique way to combine medicine and dentistry. I loved all the various surgical rotations in residency and appreciate the scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery as a profession that challenges me and, above all, impacts the wellness of someone else’s life.
