I moved to Bozeman in the winter of 2021 with my husband and 2 dogs, and we are all so excited to be here and call Bozeman our home! You might be thinking, “Why Bozeman?” Well, when I was younger, I was an avid classical guitarist, and in high school and college I used to come to Bozeman every summer to participate in a classical guitar master class with Christopher Parkening at MSU. Ever since then, I dreamed of someday coming back and making this my home. After graduating from Portland State University in 2006 with a degree in classical guitar performance, I decided I didn’t quite have what it takes to be a full-time professional musician, so I made the logical decision to become a dentist. I graduated from Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) in 2011 with a full scholarship from the US Navy and spent 4 years serving as a general dentist at Naval Air Station Lemoore. It was an honor to serve the men and women who are serving our country. In 2016, I was invited to join OHSU as full-time faculty in the restorative department. I loved teaching the next generation of young dentists so much that I was involved in nearly everything you could be involved at in dental education – I even got a master’s degree in education! As much as I loved teaching, I love helping my patients more. The mouth is an incredibly important part of the body. We use our mouths to nourish ourselves and to carry on conversations with friends and family. Our teeth impact how we speak, how we eat, and how the world sees us. Teeth also impact our self-confidence – how we see ourselves. One of my favorite things to do is to help people on their journey to total wellness by focusing on the head and neck (and mouth of course!). My absolute favorite thing to do is work on front teeth – I love to help people love their smile! Going to the dentist can sometimes be scary and downright miserable, so my goal when people come to see me is to make it is such a good experience that you actually enjoy and look forward to your dental visits! Whether you have never had a cavity in your life or your dental needs are more complex, I look forward to partnering with you as you work to achieve your goals!
