Mr Erika Pimentel,

Dr. Erika Pimentel was born and raised in Peru. In 2012, She completed her Bachelor Degree in Dentistry and obtained her Doctor in Dental Surgery Degree. She graduated as Magna Cum Laude from the top ranked Dental School in the country (Cayetano Heredia Peruvian University). During this time she discovered her true passion for Prosthodontics, leading her to pursue a 3 year training and earned her Specialist degree on 2016. She practiced as a Dentist and Prosthodontist in private practice until 2018. Dr. Pimentel’s pursuit of excellence led her to be accepted at the Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) program at the University of Connecticut where she completed 2 years of training. During her time in the AEGD residency she was able to further her training applying and enhancing her Prosthodontics knowledge and developed new skills regarding digital, cosmetic and implant dentistry. She has been working in community health for almost 4 years and has recently joined our team at Advanced Dental Care of Lakewood Ranch. Outside of her professional life, Dr. Pimentel is happily married to her husband, Wally Garcia, who is also a dentist. They enjoy traveling the world to learn about different cultures and cultivate experiences. Dr. Pimentel is a beach lover and enjoys living in the gulf coast of Florida where she never gets tired of beautiful sunsets. She is a National Champion in a traditional Peruvian Dance called “Marinera” and continues cultivating her passion in dance.
