Dr. Rainier Urdaneta was born in a small town on the east coast of Venezuela. His father is a retired dentist who very much enjoyed his career, which is what initially motivated Dr. Urdaneta to pursue dentistry. Once he began practicing, he dealt with certain restoration cases that were challenging. This sparked his interest in dental implants, and he decided specializing in Prosthodontics would be the best fit to give him the training and skills he needed. In 1992, he emigrated from Venezuela to study Prosthodontics at Boston University. By 1996, he had fallen in love with the USA (and Massachusetts!). He earned his Advanced Standing DMD degree at Boston University in order to practice in the Commonwealth.
