Dr. Charles Grannum was born at Saint John’s Hospital in Brooklyn and has resided in Clinton Hill for over 50 years. He received his Bachelors Degree in Biology from the University of Pennsylvania and Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Fairleigh Dickinson University School of Dentistry. He completed General Practice Residencies at Woodhull and Harlem Hospital. Dr. Grannum obtained a certificate in Prosthodontics from Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery and is currently one of the few Board-Certified Prosthodontists in Private Practice in Brooklyn. Dr. Grannum was the Director of the General Practice Residency at Interfaith Medical Center. He is a member of the American College of Prosthodontics, The American Board of Prosthodontics, The International Congress of Oral Implantology, The American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics, The New York State Dental Association, The American Dental Association, The National Dental Association and International Congress of Oral Implantologist. Dr. Grannum has been recognized for excellence in his field by Columbia University, Harlem Hospital, Bronx Lebanon Hospital and The American Dental Association among others. He has served as President / Board Member of the Protestant Board of Guardians, Pratt Area Community Council and Interfaith Medical Center. His dedication and contributions to the community have been recognized by Emmanuel Baptist Church, Brown Memorial Baptist Church, Bridge Street AWME Church and St. Stephen and St. Martin’s Episcopal Church. Dr Grannum is CEO of Fort Greene Clinton Hill Dental Specialty Group located in Historic Clinton Hill where he also resides.
