Dr. Brittany Dean is our pediatric dentist! She received her dental degree from the University of Washington in 2012. Before deciding to specialize, she spent several years practicing general dentistry in a community health center and also worked as affiliate faculty at the University of Washington and Seattle Cancer Care Alliance. These experiences convinced her of the importance of dental disease prevention, starting in childhood. Two additional years of full-time training at the UW and Seattle Children's hospital equipped her with a master's degree in pediatric dentistry. That means she has in-depth knowledge of child growth and development, behavior management, and diseases specific to children. As a pediatric dentist, she loves getting to know babies, toddlers, teens and their parents and she takes pride in finding age-appropriate approaches for each family's dental needs. In addition to her local work, Dr. Brittany also treats children at the Southeast Alaska Regional Health Consortium in Juneau and Sitka. She is active in dental advocacy organizations at the local, state and national levels. She is especially proud to be dental co-director for the annual Seattle/King County Clinic, which provides four days of free care annually to hundreds of adults in need. Dr. Yoni and Dr. Brittany have been close friends since high school.
