Dr Valerie Acquesta

Dr. Valerie is a proud native of our beautiful state of North Carolina. She chose to pursue dentistry because of its ability to impact a patient’s health and self-confidence all in a single visit. ‘I’m blessed that dentistry has opened countless doors for me. It has allowed me to create personal and meaningful relationships with my patients. It also allows me to help solve issues that affect their quality of life, while building back their self-confidence. I enjoy creating a smile that my patients are proud of, while having fun doing it!’ She graduated from James Madison University with a bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences & Disorders; she then spent two years teaching young adults with autism. After this, she returned to school to pursue a career in dentistry at the UNC School of Dentistry graduating with her Doctorate in Dental Surgery. Dr. Valerie is newly engaged to her fiancé Bob and when she’s not practicing dentistry, they love to travel abroad, explore our beautiful state of North Carolina and eats lots of delicious food!
