Dr Minny Li

Dr. Li is a Board-Certified periodontist and a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. A Diplomate is a periodontist who has made significant achievements beyond the mandatory educational requirements of the specialty, demonstrating a comprehensive mastery of all phases of periodontal disease and treatment and in the placement of dental implants. Dr. Li earned her specialty certificate in Periodontics and her Master of Science degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. She also worked as a clinical instructor for undergraduate dental students and received the outstanding teaching award. Her thesis focused on the comparison of peri-implant buccal bone dimensional change in grafted bone versus native bone and how understanding these would improve the dental implant outcomes. Her research received the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID) Grant and a Post-doctoral Outstanding Dental Research Award. Dr. Li was born and raised in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. She earned her DDS degree with highest honors at China Medical University in Taiwan. During her time in dental school, she attended a periodontal observership at Ohio State University that sparked her interest into this profession. After dental school, she attained a 2-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) certificate and one-year Periodontal training in Taipei Veteran General Hospital.
