Dr. Joowon Cho chose the name Kind Dental Care because she truly believes the world could use a little more kindness. Kindness and honesty are at the core of what we do, and we take our approach to dental care very seriously. After moving to Austin from South Korea as a teenager, I grew up in the area and attended Westwood High School as well as the University of Texas at Austin. During my first year in college I got braces, which changed my life. Growing up I had always been conscious of my crooked teeth, and I tried to hide them with my upper lip. Because of this, sadly, I do not have many smiling childhood pictures. However, with the help of my orthodontist, I gained confidence and began to smile. This experience made me dream of becoming a dentist so I could impact other people’s lives as well. Dr. Joowon Cho believes that a trip to the dentist should be fun, lighthearted, and not something to fear.
