Dr Jeffrey Laro

Dr. Jeff Laro is originally from Connecticut and is married to his high school sweetheart, Jackie. They are the parents of three wonderful boys: Max, Ian, and Sam. Away from dentistry, Dr. Laro loves spending time with his boys. They enjoy many outdoor activities together. Dr. Laro’s newest pursuit is Triathalon Training. He makes time to give back by helping with North Charleston Dental Outreach, occasional dental mission trips, and organizing the student mentoring program for the Medical University of South Carolina College of Dental Medicine. He is also a clinical instructor at the MUSC Graduate Periodontics Residency. Dr. Laro attended dental school at the Medical University of South Carolina. Afterward, he did post-doctoral training at Hartford Hospital in Hartford, Connecticut. Returning to MUSC, he received his specialty certificate in Periodontics and then went to the University of Texas Houston, Health Science Center to complete a dental implant fellowship. While specializing in periodontics, he also obtained extensive training in dental implants. His focus on dental implants helps patients to preserve jawbone, replace missing teeth, and secure loose dentures. Our Charleston dentist truly loves his job and the wonderful patients he meets every day. He continues to learn and develop as a member of well-respected dental organizations, including: President 2004-2005 to South Carolina Society of Periodontists, District President 2005-2006 to South Carolina Dental Association, American Academy of Periodontology, Fellow, American College of Dentists, Academy of Osseointegration, ITI Study Club.
