Dr. Alexandra Wood was born and raised in Charlottesville, graduating from Western Albemarle High School in 2006. She then attended the University of North Carolina at Wilmington to pursue her interest in Marine Biology. During a semester abroad in Townsville, Australia, she decided to follow in her father’s footsteps and attend dental school. After graduating with distinction from UNCW, she attended the VCU School of Dentistry, graduating at the top of her class in 2015. Dr. Wood serves the Charlottesville community by volunteering at the Charlottesville Free Dental Clinic, and provides dental care to underserved areas across Virginia through Mission of Mercy dental projects. On the weekends, Dr. Wood enjoys spending time with her husband and children on their farm in Free Union.
