Dr. Arthur Thurm is one of the few general dentists in the country who is also a Certified Dental Anesthesiologist. For more than 35 years, he has helped patients with dental phobias, special needs, and dementia receive the dental care they need while comfortably sedated. Dr. Thurm earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 1977. He completed a one-year general practice residency at the Philadelphia Veterans Administration Hospital in 1978, and then completed a one-year residency in Anesthesiology at the Medical College of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. In 1980, Dr. Thurm became a Fellow of the America Dental Society of Anesthesiology.
