I am a practicing dentist located on the Outer Banks. I was born and raised in Franklin which is located in western North Carolina. My interest in dentistry began when I was a teenager. After almost three years in braces, I developed a friendly relationship with my orthodontist. I loved going to his office to shadow him as he interacted with his patients. I was captivated seeing the transformation that teens were going through and how the end results positively influenced them beyond their physical smiles. As an undergraduate, I attended the University of North Carolina at Wilmington to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Biology. Wanting to pursue a career in dentistry, I joined pre-dental clubs and volunteered my time at the Mission of Mercy clinics held throughout North Carolina. As a graduate student, I attended Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) School of Dental Medicine in Bradenton, Florida. Another passion that I have is for my family. I am a newlywed and my husband Bryan, is very important to me. He always brings a smile to my face and continues to be my biggest cheerleader. Also, I have an amazing identical twin sister who is an optometrist. On the weekends, I enjoy spending time with family and friends and this beautiful island.
