Dr Kyle Johnson

Dr. Kyle Johnson is excited to join our team and will be serving patients at our East Beach and Portsmouth locations. Originally from South Jersey, Dr. Johnson’s journey to dentistry has been shaped by a passion for helping others and a commitment to delivering exceptional care. Dr. Johnson graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Dentistry in 2023 and went on to complete a residency at the Naval Medical Hospital in Portsmouth, where he gained invaluable experience in rotations including anesthesia and emergency care. A proud veteran, Dr. Johnson spent five years in the Marines, serving in places like Northern California and Hawaii. During this time, he attended the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, California, becoming proficient in Chinese--a skill he has used to connect with diverse patients. Dr. Johnson's professional interests include oral surgery, extractions, and endodontics, and he takes pride in achieving immediate, life-changing results for his patients. Known for his down-to-earth personality and relatable approach, he goes above and beyond to ensure every patient feels comfortable and cared for. Beyond the office, Dr. Johnson is actively involved in giving back to the community. He has volunteered with Missions of Mercy in Suffolk and led youth ministry groups at his church. He's looking forward to participating in future events like Smiles for Heroes. In his free time, Dr. Johnson enjoys staying active with the North End Run Club, working out, and reading novels by Cormac McCarthy. A self-proclaimed dog lover, he doesn't currently have any pets but appreciates spending time with animals. Dr. Johnson now calls Virginia Beach home and looks forward to building strong connections with his patients and community. Whether it's through his dedication to his craft, his approachable bedside manner, or his passion for making a difference, Dr. Johnson is here to make every smile shine.
