Dr Carlos Lopez Diaz

Dr. Lopez brings to Smylife Dental over 25 years of experience in the dental field. He is interested in physiology, managing medically compromised dental patients, oral surgery, and complex oral rehabilitation with implants. Dr. Lopez graduated as a dentist from Javeriana University in Colombia and later specialized in Oral Surgery and Pathology at the same university. Later he became an assistant professor in oral Surgery and Pathology at Javeriana University. Upon coming to Canada, he had to re-qualify his degree. He graduated with honors obtaining the Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Western University Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry. He spends some years teaching new generations of dental students at Western University. Dr. Lopez is a member of the California Dental Association, American Dental Association, The Academy of osseointegration, The International Team of Implantology. He enjoys being with his family, hiking, canoeing, and playing tennis in his spare time. Dr. Lopez is fluent in English and Spanish.
