Dr Chigozirim Ogar

Dr. Ogar’s academic journey began at North Carolina State University, where she excelled as a University Scholar. An active member of the Episcopal Campus Ministries, she graduated with high honors, earning a Bachelor of Science through the College of Life Sciences Honors Program. She went on to pursue her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry. During her time there, she participated in the UNC Mexico Project, providing essential dental care to children in a Mexican orphanage. She also played a key role in establishing the first collaborative outreach program between the UNC Schools of Dentistry and Medicine, delivering essential health services to underserved communities in Mexico. After graduating, she devoted five years to a federally qualified community health dental clinic, where she provided care to underserved and underinsured patients. She progressed from a general dentist to the lead dentist, and ultimately served as the Director of Dental Services for the clinic. She later transitioned to private practice, serving the Louisburg community. She remains deeply committed to her patients and the dental profession. An active member of the American Dental Association (ADA) and the North Carolina Dental Society (NCDS), she also serves as an adjunct faculty member at A.T. Still School of Dentistry. Originally from Nigeria, Dr. Ogar cherishes her time with family and enjoys exploring the community she now calls home.
