Dr. Austin Fruin, DMD, brings a strong foundation of scientific knowledge,clinical excellence, and compassionate care to our practice. Born and raised in Northern Virginia, Dr. Fruin is a graduate of Langley High School, located just outside of Washington, D.C. where he excelled in math and science while competing in lacrosse, and track and field. He went on to attend Penn State University, where he graduated as Valedictorian with a degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. During his time at Penn State, Dr. Fruin contributed to the research community, earning two scientific publications in the fields of genetics and cancer biology and multiple university awards for his work as a teaching assistant in the field of biochemistry. Dr. Fruin earned his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Case Western Reserve University, one of the nation's leading dental schools. To further enhance his clinical skills, he completed advanced training through a General Practice Residency at the Veteran Affairs Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio. This comprehensive training allowed him to gain experience in all aspects of dentistry, including complex restorative procedures, surgical techniques, and care for medically complex patients. Outside the office, Dr. Fruin enjoys skiing, golf, tennis and spending time with family. Dr. Fruin looks forward to helping you achieve and maintain a healthy, confident smile with personalized, comprehensive dental care.
