Dr. Pate was born and raised in the small town of Rockford, Alabama. He obtained dual degrees from Troy State University and Auburn University Montgomery in Nursing and Physical Science. Dr. Pate worked as an intensive care nurse for several years before entering Dental School at the University of Alabama. He was awarded by the American College of Dentists and the American College of Prosthodontics. After graduation, he attended a one year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency, where he received specialised training in Oral Surgery(extractions), Endodontics(root canal therapy), Periodontics(gum disease), and Prosthodontics(crown and bridge). Dr. Pate has recently returned from Okinawa, Japan where he proudly served as a Dental Officer in the United States Navy. Dr. Pate has kept up to date with varying procedures by attending numerous Continuing Education courses including Mini Implants for Denture Stabilisation and Laser Dentistry.
