Dr Rachel Leister

Dr. Rachel Leister has been involved in dentistry for more than 20 years, beginning her journey at just 16 years old as a dental assistant. Early in her career she discovered a passion for helping people feel comfortable and cared for in the dental chair, which inspired her to pursue dentistry as a profession. She earned her undergraduate degree in Biology and Chemistry with honours from Virginia Tech before completing her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry. Dr. Rachel joined Clinton Family Dental in 2015 and became a partner in the practice in 2018. She is passionate about building long term relationships with her patients and believes the best dentistry comes from trust, education, and personalised care. Her goal is to help every patient feel confident in their smile and comfortable with their treatment. She is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Maryland Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry. Outside the office, Dr. Rachel enjoys hiking, yoga, fitness, and traveling with her husband. She is especially passionate about service and global outreach, participating in dental mission trips both locally and internationally. She has provided care on missions in countries such as Romania, Moldova, Liberia, and Guatemala. Giving back through dentistry remains one of the most meaningful parts of her work.
