Dr. Brian Van Rooyen, aka Dr. V, was born and raised in Lake Orion, Michigan. He earned a Bachelor's in biochemistry from the University of Detroit Mercy and completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Detroit Mercy Dental School. Dr. V is passionate about treating people with the same care that he would want out of his own health care providers. He recognizes the critical role that one's mental health plays in their treatment. Often, the biggest hurdle to coming in is the fear of judgment and the fear of the unknown. “There is little benefit in me taking the time to learn how to do dentistry well if I am causing my patients to feel judged or causing them undue pain.” Dr. V is devoted to giving back in dentistry. He went on his first dental mission trip in August 2018. He has been blessed to be a part of various mission trips to Honduras and the Dominican Republic since. He regularly volunteers at Trinity Community Care, a free dental clinic in Shelby Township. In his free time, Dr. V loves cooking, spending time outdoors, and playing card and board games with his loved ones.
