Dr. Smith received his B.A. in History in 1994 from Auburn University. Prior to attending dental school, he studied at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, receiving a Master of Public Health focused on Epidemiology. In May of 2001, he received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Nova Southeastern University’s College of Dental Medicine, inducted into Alpha Omega dental fraternity. Dr. Smith equips his office with high tech tools like the CEREC crown milling machine for same-day crowns. He emphasises continuing education, personal development, and latest technology. He was an Associate Clinical Instructor at Columbus Technical College’s Dental Hygiene school, hosts interns, and is a member of the American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association, Western District Dental Society (past President), and Academy of General Dentistry. Raised as an army brat, influenced by his veterinarian father, he settled in Columbus, married Melanie in 2008, has daughter Benson, and enjoys hunting, fishing, kayaking, SCUBA.
