Dr Kaycee Obi-Gwacham

Hello! I’m Dr. Kaycee Obi-Gwacham DDS, Scholar Athlete, Smile Architect. Patients like to call me Dr. Kaycee—and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I believe great dentistry starts with listening. My priority is understanding your goals so I can deliver care that’s not only effective, but also empowering and tailored to you. With a calm approach, clear communication, and obsessive attention to detail, I aim to make sure every patient walks out of my office with a smile that feels natural and truly their own. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Biological Life Sciences from NC State, where I double-majored in Biology and Genetics. I then completed my Doctorate of Dental Surgery at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill—one of the top dental programs in the country. I’m originally from New York and moved to North Carolina in high school. I played college basketball at NC State, earning the Scholar-Athlete Award every year, which reflects my dedication both on the court and in the classroom. Over the years, I’ve pursued advanced training in Invisalign, cosmetic smile design, and implant dentistry. Whether it’s a single-tooth implant or a full-mouth reconstruction, I’m passionate about helping patients restore their oral health and regain confidence in their smile. I love to travel, hike, snowboard, visit new countries, and learn about new cultures. I’m always up for a good adventure—whether that’s hitting a new picturesque trail, catching a flight to an unexplored place, or finding the best local food spot in a city I’ve never been to. I also value time with friends and family, and I believe that staying active—both mentally and physically—is key to living a balanced, fulfilling life.
