Dr Stephen Vargo

Dr. Vargo strongly believes in a patient-centered approach to dentistry. For him, his patients’ comfort and care are his main priorities, and he strives to provide a warm and relaxed atmosphere while catering to the overall health of each individual. It is his goal to work in tandem with his patients to develop treatment plans that will help them maintain exceptional oral health for a lifetime. After completing his residency program in San Antonio, Dr. Vargo worked in the prestigious Houston Medical Center until he took over for Dr. Mark Peters in 2021. Dr. Vargo received a Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A&M University and earned his Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the University of Texas School of Dentistry. He went on to complete a residency program in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at the South Texas Veterans Healthcare System in San Antonio. His extensive education has given him valuable experience in all aspects of general dentistry, ranging from basic fillings to full-mouth rehabilitation, periodontal surgery, dental implant placement, Invisalign, cosmetic restorations, and more. Dr. Vargo has completed many comprehensive TMJ courses from both The Dawson Academy and The Pankey Institute which enables him to help patients dealing with orofacial pain. Dr. Vargo can provide various treatment options ranging from appliance therapy, equilibration, bite reconstructions, and sometimes physical therapy to help patients overcome TMJ and achieve lasting comfort and well-being. In 2019, Dr. Vargo completed the core curriculum at The Dawson Academy, a 160-hour continuing education continuum that focuses on comprehensive patient care. As a result of his dedication to life-long learning, he achieved Fellowship status in the Academy of General Dentistry.
