Dr. Emilia Smith-Alvarez was born and raised in Miami, FL, to Colombian parents. She completed her Bachelor’s degree in psychology and pre-dental at New York University, graduating cum laude as a Founders Day Award recipient. She then went on to complete her dental training at Boston University’s Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine, graduating magna cum laude and ranked within the top 10% of her class. She is a member of the American Dental Association, the Hispanic Dental Association and the American Association of Women Dentists.
