Dr. Lisset Arenas, originally from Peru, came to South Florida in 2000. Her passion for dentistry started when she was a teenager after realizing the huge impact that oral health can have in people’s lives. She was the first in her family to receive her Doctor of Dental Medicine at the University of Florida College of Dentistry. During her four years of dental school, Dr. Arenas was very involved in volunteerism and community service and overlooked a dental clinic organized by the Department of Health of Alachua County, which provided dental care to the low-income population of the county. After graduation, Dr. Arenas was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU) Xi Omicron chapter, a national dental honour society, whose mission is to promote the highest standards of dentistry. She also completed an AEGD (Advanced Education in General Dentistry) residency at the Miami Veterans Hospital. She understands each patient’s smile and personality is unique and that is why it is her priority to make them feel relaxed and confident in the decision to enhance their beautiful, healthy smile. When Dr. Arenas is not practicing dentistry, she loves to spend time with her husband and their two “four-legged fur babies,” Jerry and Cornelius and enjoys photography and scrapbooking.
