Dr Zackary M. Bandow

Dr. Zack Bandow grew up in Manilla, IA. When Zack was in junior high, he decided he wanted to become a dentist in a small community like Atlantic one day. With that goal in mind, he attended Central College in Pella where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology and played football for the Dutch. He graduated at the top of his class from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry and Dental Clinics in June 2016, receiving multiple awards for academic and clinical excellence during his time in dental school. Following graduation, Dr. Bandow and his wife Mackenzie moved to Atlantic to begin his career at Atlantic Dental Center. As an accomplished lifelong student, Dr. Bandow sees the necessity for continued learning in order to provide optimum comprehensive dental care for his patients. Since graduating he has made continuing education a priority, allowing him to better provide his patients with the best treatment and materials dentistry has to offer. His ongoing education includes training at the Pankey Institute and a biannual study club with some of the best dentists around the country. Dr. Bandow has also been fortunate enough to be trained by wonderful mentors, including the recently retired Dr. Nelson. Dr. Bandow enjoys forming relationships with his patients, and he takes pride in taking the time to help them understand their current oral condition. He is eager to work alongside his patients in Atlantic in a joint effort to achieve their oral health goals. Dr. Bandow and his wife have two sons, Rolla and Archie. Dr. B would tell you that they are largely responsible for his newly acquired head of gray hair! In his free time, Zack enjoys hunting, fishing, working around the acreage, and spending time with his family. Occasionally, you will even find him on the golf course playing out of the wrong fairway.
