Dr. Alison Scavuzzo prides herself on placing her patient's comfort and trust above everything else. She is committed to providing exceptional, quality dentistry in a relaxing setting. Dr. Scavuzzo attended Fairfield University and received her dental degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey - Rutgers Dental School. She then completed a general practice residency at Montefiore Hospital in Pittsburgh. While at Montefiore, she fell in love with the Pittsburgh area and decided to make this her home. Her dedication to continuing education is embodied in her achievement of Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry. This prestigious honor is bestowed upon only 2% of practicing dentists and requires 500 continuing education credits as well as a challenging exam. She is also a member of the Pennsylvania Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association, and the Pennsylvania Dental Association. Dr. Scavuzzo believes strongly in giving back and has volunteered her services in the Dominican Republic for ten years. Dr. Scavuzzo's mission is to provide personalized, high-quality care on an as-needed and preventative basis. We have created a practice that we believe in and choose for our own family members. When Dr. Alison is not practicing dentistry, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Jim, and their two children, Amelia and James, and two dogs. She also enjoys running, golfing, and traveling.
