Dr. Colin Lentz grew up near Indianapolis in a small farming town called Fishers. He is a third-generation dentist, following his father and grandfather. He studied biomedical sciences at Auburn University for his bachelor’s degree. His achievements at Auburn earned him a Navy scholarship, which supported his dream of becoming a dentist. Dr. Lentz earned his Dental surgery degree from Indiana University. During his time there, he was President of the Student Body, made the Dean’s List, and was honored for his leadership by the International College of Dentists. After finishing dental school, Dr. Lentz joined the US Navy as a dentist and was stationed in Hawaii. During his time in the Navy, he received training in advanced dental procedures such as oral surgery, root canal treatments, and dental prosthetics from experts at Pearl Harbor Naval Base, Kaneohe Marine Corps Base, and Tripler Army Medical Facility. He also became certified in basic and emergency cardiac life support and was authorized to perform all general dental procedures allowed in the military. Dr. Lentz is always learning and improving himself, even after finishing dental school. Since he graduated, he has taken part in more than 1000 hours of additional education, lectures, and teaching.
