Dr. Alda Underwood-Hall is a native of Newport News, Virginia and has been in practice since 1984. Dr Underwood Hall received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Hampton University followed by her Masters of Nursing at Emory University. After working as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Cardiovascular Disease for 10 years, she courageously decided to change career paths and earned a Doctorate in Dental Medicine at the Medical College of Georgia. She has held leadership positions in the Georgia Dental Society serving as both President and Recording Secretary, as well as the North Georgia Dental Society and the Georgia Dental Association. She was recognized by the National Dental Association and presented with their prestigious Phenomenal Woman Award. Dr. Underwood-Hall has achieved both national and international acclaim for her work both before and during the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta as the Director of Dental Services. Dr. Underwood is a member of the American Dental Association, Hinman Dental Society, Georgia Dental Association, Northern District Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry, North Georgia Dental Society, Georgia Dental Society.
