Received his dental degree from Emory University School of Dentistry in 1970. He then joined the US Air Force and served in Vietnam. Upon his return from Southeast Asia he practiced in a Decatur general dental office and shortly thereafter took over the practice. He has been practicing on North Decatur Rd. for over forty years and now lives in Druid Hills. He has three grown children in the area. His youngest son, Ryan, graduated from dental school and has joined him in his practice. Dr. Kennedy is a life member of national, local and state dental associations and has had scientific articles published in the Journal of the Academy of General Dentistry and the Journal of the Georgia Dental Association. After playing recreational tennis for years Dr. Kennedy has found there is life after tennis and devotes most of his spare time to working on his rural property near Elberton Ga. In addition to hunting and fishing on Lake Russell, he is a beekeeper and avid gardener. His hobby vineyard produces Norton grapes and some excellent wine is produced. This property and its log cabin allows his close-knit family to enjoy each other's company.
