Dr. Matt Jugovich grew up on the Iron Range and graduated from the Biwabik High School in 1983. He went on to study at St. John’s University and then attended dental school at Detroit School of Mercy. He obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1991 and practiced in the Twin Cites for a few years before moving to Duluth. In 1999, he purchased Pike Lake Dental Center, which was operating out of the geodesic dome in the Pike Lake area, just across Highway 53 from where the office sits now.
