Superior Smiles is happy to welcome board-certified pediatric dentist, Dr. Sarah Mettlach, to our practice. Dr. Mettlach, who is originally from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, returned to the area after working for several years in St. Paul, Minnesota. She received her dental degree from the University of Michigan in 2009 and completed her post-graduate residency at the University of Michigan and Mott Children’s Health Center in 2011, where she received a Master of Science degree and a Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Mettlach is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, and the Michigan Dental Association. Her research, which focused on the use of pulpal medicaments in primary teeth, was published in the journal, Pediatric Dentistry, in 2013. With an emphasis on anticipatory guidance and early patient and family education, Dr. Mettlach strives to provide specialized and comprehensive dental health care for children in a fun, friendly, and safe environment. Dr. Mettlach is currently accepting new patients and referrals for children ages 1 year to 7 years of age.
