Dr. Karen Chandler grew up in the great outdoors of Maine. She attended the University of Maine and graduated with a B.A. in Biology. Great experiences with her childhood dentist led her to become interested in the profession, and in 2002 she graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts as the first dentist in her family. After graduation, Dr. Chandler served for six years in the U.S. Army Dental Corps. She was stationed in Hawaii where she completed a two year residency program and earned Board Certification in General Dentistry and also earned her Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Chandler was deployed to Iraq for one year with the 21st Combat Support Hospital during Operation Iraqi Freedom where she provided dental care to Iraqi prisoners of war. Dr. Chandler now divides time between practicing dentistry and raising her three active children. She loves reading, running and cooking for her family. She became part of the Vista Hills Dental team in February of 2016 and is committed to providing her patients with compassionate care of the highest quality.
