Dr Loren Nelson

Dr. Nelson has known she wanted to become a dentist since the 5 th grade when she realized something as simple as a smile could make the difference in someone’s entire day. After 22 years of school she is thrilled to move back to her hometown to provide dental services for a community that has given her so much over the years. Dr. (Sellers) Nelson was born and raised in Elkhart, IN. She graduated from Elkhart Memorial High School in 2006, received her undergraduate degree from Indiana University in Bloomington, IN, in 2010 and went on to receive her Master’s in Biology from Indiana University, Purdue University-Indianapolis. Dr. Nelson attended and graduated from the Indiana University School of Dentistry in May 2017. While at IUSD, Dr. Nelson was elected Vice President of her class and served as Treasurer of the Student Professionalism and Ethics Association. She received the Dr. Angela Hazlewood Murat Memorial Scholarship as well as the Eleanor J. Bushee Senior Student Award for Outstanding Leadership and Academic Excellence. In her free time, Dr. Nelson enjoys spending time with her husband, Matt, and their two daughters. She also enjoys volunteering in the community, spending time with her family, playing volleyball, reading, and doing lake activities like paddle boarding and kayaking. Dr. Nelson is excited to provide patients with a fun, positive dental experience and treat every patient as if they were part of her family. She looks forward to meeting new patients and providing high quality, comprehensive care to help patients achieve a healthy smile they can be proud of!
