Dr Justin Carl

A proud California native, Dr. Justin Carl has called San Diego home for over 12 years. He earned his degree in Biology from San Diego State University and went on to receive his dental degree from the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry through a military scholarship. In 2012, Dr. Carl was commissioned as a Naval officer and began a 13-year active-duty career. He completed both a General Practice Residency and an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency at Naval Medical Center San Diego. His service took him around the world, with deployments aboard the USS George Washington and USS Nimitz, as well as leadership positions at Naval Hospital Bremerton and, most recently, as Department Head of Oral Surgery at the U.S. Naval Hospital in Okinawa, Japan. He continues to serve in the Navy Reserves, maintaining his commitment to both his country and his patients. His advanced training spans the full-scope oral and maxillofacial surgery with specialized expertise in anesthesia, facial trauma, cosmetic surgery, orthognathic surgery, and surgical treatment of obstructive sleep apnea. Now part of the North County Oral & Facial Surgery Center team, Dr. Carl is honored to serve the San Diego community with the same dedication and compassion that defined his military career. “My military career allowed me to care for our Nation’s heroes and work alongside some of the most dedicated professionals in the world.
