Dr Reem Atout

Dr. Reem Atout brings more than 20 years of clinical, academic, and leadership experience to the specialty of periodontics. She began her career by earning a Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree from JUST University in Jordan. After relocating to California, she became licensed as a general dentist and practiced in both private and community settings, deepening her expertise in restorative and interdisciplinary care. Dr. Atout later completed her specialty training in periodontology and earned a Master of Science in Dentistry from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Her passion for education led her to join the faculty at the University of Manitoba, where she served for nearly a decade in the graduate periodontology program. During this time, she held several academic leadership roles, including President of the Canadian Academy of Periodontology. A Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada, Dr. Atout is known for her collaborative approach to patient care. Her unique blend of general dentistry and periodontal training allows her to work closely with referring doctors to plan and execute complex treatment plans—especially those involving dental implants and full-arch rehabilitation. Dr. Atout is excited to serve patients in the Auburn and Grass Valley communities and looks forward to continuing the practice’s legacy of excellence in periodontics and implant dentistry.
