As a board-certified periodontist, Dr. Kevin Guze is an expert in diagnosing, preventing, and treating gum disease. He also performs all aspects of periodontic surgery, including dental implants. Combining experience and the latest techniques and technology, he’s devoted to providing patients exceptional care and delivering reliable, safe, and long-lasting results. Dr. Guze pursued his vocation by first earning a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at the University of British Columbia and completing a general practice residency at Vancouver General Hospital. He practiced in Vancouver for 12 years before hitting the books again at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. He obtained a certification in periodontology and a Doctor of Medical Science degree. Dr. Guze also completed his Master’s degree in therapeutic research at Oxford University. As a lifelong learner with a passion for what he does, Dr. Guze is also an instructor in the Department of Oral Medicine, Infection & Immunity at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. In 2009, he received the prestigious Goldhaber Research Prize. He conducts clinical trials to move inventions from the lab to the patient. In addition, he’s a diplomat of the American Board of Periodontology, a fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantology, and a fellow of the Royal College of Dentists. He lectures nationally and internationally. At home, Dr. Guze enjoys playing hockey and tennis, going for hikes, and savoring quality time with his wife and four kids.
