Dr. Andrew Tang was born and raised by hard-working immigrant parents, who taught him the value of hard work and service to others. Growing up in Freehold, New Jersey, Dr. Tang held an intense interest in science, pursuing a degree in biotechnology at Rutgers University. During college, he assisted his grandfather, a now-retired general dentist, and found that he loved dentistry’s unique blend of artistry and medicine. A lifelong Scarlet Knight, Dr. Tang obtained his doctorate from the Rutgers School of Dental Medicine. During his time there, he was very involved in dental research and was recognized for his work as part of the ADA/Dentsply Sirona Clinician Research program, speaking at dental conferences across the US. Since graduation, he has completed a residency training program at Hackensack University Medical Center and has worked in public health for underserved communities. Outside of dentistry, Dr. Tang loves spending time with his fiancé, Steph, and their affectionate dog, Cosmo. An avid musician, he spends his days off playing guitar and writing/mixing electronic music. With the firm belief that advances in technology can make quality dental care more comfortable and more accessible to patients, Dr. Tang is ecstatic to join Dr. Bydalek and RiverValleyDental’s commitment to excellence.
