Dr. Vervaeke became interested in dentistry in high school after taking a dental assisting class. She worked as a dental assistant for nine years before graduating from dental school. She had always worked hard to become the best dentist she can be. Dr. Vervaeke attended the University of Detroit School of Dentistry, making the Dean’s list each semester. After graduating in 1987, she extended her education with many hours of continuing education. She has devoted many hours to the treatment of gum disease, restoring implants , crowns, and dentures. Dr. Vervaeke's goal is to always treat her patients in a manner that makes them feel comfortable and helps them reduce their anxiety. She is very sensitive to the needs of her patients and goes out of her way, especially for anxious patients, to give them the most gentle experience possible. She welcomes the opportunity to provide care to children and adults of all ages. When \not doing dentistry, Dr. Vervaeke enjoys spending time with her four children and volunteering at their schools. She also enjoys reading, sewing, needlework, biking, hiking, and bowling.
