Dr Leena Ponnapalli

Dr. Leena Ponnapalli is a passionate and compassionate dentist with a remarkable journey in the field of dentistry. Her unique path has given her a deep understanding of patient fears, and she is dedicated to changing mindsets to show that a trip to the dentist doesn't have to be terrifying. She almost quit the field twice due to an intense fear of needles and the intricacies of human anatomy, and later due to real-world experiences as a dentist. These experiences motivated her to make a change. Dr. Ponnapalli firmly believes in empathy and compassion for patients experiencing anxiety. She takes more than 100 hours of Continuing Education (CE) each year to stay updated on the latest trends and techniques in dentistry. She is a proud member of the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), the American Dental Association (ADA), the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI), and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD). She completed a two-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) program in 2016, heavily focused on implant restorative dentistry and interdisciplinary dentistry. In 2021, Dr. Leena completed a one-year mastership program in biomimetic dentistry, emphasizing conservative and biologically sound dental techniques.
