Dr. Hughes earned her bachelor’s and master’s degree from Auburn University before completing her doctorate from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry. She takes several continuing education courses each year in order to provide the highest level of care in the ever-changing field of dentistry. She is a certified Silver-Level Invisalign® provider and a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry and the Florida Dental Association. She has been practicing in Okaloosa County since 2020. Dr. Hughes believes that dental health is fundamental to one’s overall health. She is passionate about making sure all her patients receive the individualised, patient-centred care she would expect for herself and her family. Dr. Hughes believes in open and honest communication before and throughout treatment, to help patients feel relaxed and comfortable in the dental chair. She is known for making lasting connections with her patients. Dr. Hughes has been married to her husband, Daniel, since 2016. He is a mechanical engineer on Eglin Air Force Base. They met while at Auburn University and have a golden retriever named Charlie. Some of Dr. Hughes’ hobbies include jigsaw puzzles, fishing with her husband and spending time with family and friends.
