Dr. Whittle, aka “Doc” is a Fort Worth native. He graduated from Texas Christian University in 1976 and earned his D.D.S. degree in 1979 from Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas. Doc served a two-year residency in general practice in the U.S. Public Health Service before opening a private dental practice in 1981. Doc is happily married to his best friend, Dee Dee, and is the proud father of six adult children. He is known as “Poppa” to his eleven grandchildren. Doc, always the perfectionist, sees his patients as extended family members and strives to provide everyone with the best care possible. When it comes to his passion for dentistry, Doc believes in “treating people, not just teeth.” Doc is known as the “Renaissance man” because of his various pastimes. He formerly engineered the Six Flags train as well as the Grapevine Vintage Railroad steam locomotive. He is a member of the Vocal Majority, an internationally recognized barbershop harmony chorus. Doc is also an amazing cook and woodworker and, some would say, quite the comedian.
