Dr Pierluigi Balice

Dr. Pierluigi Balice is a board-certified periodontist with over 14 years of experience. Dr. Balice received his Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and went on to receive a Clinical Certificate in Periodontology and a Master of Dental Science from the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine. He also received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Bari, Department of Dentistry. In addition to his impressive educational background, Dr. Balice is also certified in moderate intravenous sedation by the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine. He has also served as an assistant professor in periodontics and implant dentistry at the University of Missouri and as a graduate teaching assistant in the Department of Periodontology at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Balice has authored several publications, including “Mechanical Behavior and Primary Stability of a Self-Condensing Implant,” a chapter on peri-implantitis in “Essential Periodontics,” and Chapter 5 of “Short and Ultrashort Dental Implants: Key Factors for Successful Outcome.” He has also given numerous lectures across North America and Europe on implant dentistry and peri-implantitis. Dr. Balice is certified by the American Board of Periodontology and is a member of several professional organizations, including the International Team for Implantology, the American Academy of Periodontology, the Northeastern Society of Periodontists, and the International Association of Dental Specialists.
