Dr. Zach Kashlan grew up immersed in dentistry, earning his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine in 2015. He completed a General Practice Residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in 2016 before returning to Atlanta to practice general dentistry. While in private practice, Dr. Kashlan developed a deep interest in periodontics through advanced continuing education in dental implantology. His commitment to clinical excellence ultimately led him to pursue full-time specialty training in Periodontics at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, beginning in 2018. During his residency, Dr. Kashlan received advanced training in both surgical and non-surgical periodontics, including periodontal plastic surgery (gum grafting), complex bone grafting, dental implants, and full-arch implant rehabilitation such as All-on-4® (“teeth in a day”). He also earned a Master’s degree in Dental Sciences with a focus on alveolar ridge preservation and contributed to peer-reviewed dental publications. Dr. Kashlan is a Board-Certified Diplomate of the American Academy of Periodontology—an achievement earned by only approximately 10% of periodontists nationwide and reflective of exceptional clinical knowledge, skill, and dedication to the specialty. He is passionate about a collaborative care model that prioritizes communication between specialists, general dentists, and patients to deliver thoughtful, comprehensive outcomes. Outside the office, Dr. Kashlan enjoys learning new languages and maintaining an active lifestyle through calisthenics training.
