Dr. Shirk is a native of Wilkes-Barre, PA. A standout saxophonist in high school, he completed a bachelor’s degree in Music Education and Saxophone Performance at the Ithaca College School of Music. After college Dr. Shirk taught high school music for 10 years before following his dream of becoming a dentist. Dr. Shirk headed off to the VCU School of Dentistry and graduated in 2013. Dr. Shirk has been practicing in the Fredericksburg area his entire dental career. In addition to general dentistry, Dr. Shirk has taken extensive post doctorate training in Invisalign clear aligners. Outside of the office, Dr. Shirk loves spending time with his family and friends, and traveling. You may spot him out running or riding his bike downtown on a sunny day.
